Well folks, this was a busy and exciting weekend (though it began on Thursday). We started by having a wonderful dinner with Joe’s childhood friend Mike and his wife Kim and their two beautiful children Logan and baby Nathan. They were down from Fairbanks, Alaska. Wow, what a ways to come to see us (Mike is from Johnson City and really came to see family😀, but we are honored to have been able to see them). Anyways, we went to Buxton Hall Barbecue. Hopefully, we will get some really cute pictures to upload of the reunion. According to Joe and Mike, their friendship is now 19 1/2 years old. Its almost old enough to have a beer. How sweet. We had a great time, great food, great friends. Can’t wait to see them again. No food pictures this time, to busy socializing. 🙂
On Friday, we were fortunate to be invited to Neda and Marouen’s house for dinner. Sammy and Esra had a great time playing with each other and chowed down on some great food. Sammy’s favorite was the corn on the cob for sure. Everything that Joe and I ate was fantastic! Kudos to the chef, Marouen for excellent food. The company was great too!
On Saturday, sweet baby Anna turned 1! We were fortunate enough to be able to celebrate with her family and friends at Mountain Playlodge. Anna is such a beautiful little girl. We cannot believe she is already one.
Sammy, of course, had a blast and Mountain Playlodge as usual and tuckered himself out.
Thank you to Tina, Richard, Abbie, and Birthday girl Anna for a great Saturday afternoon!
On Sunday, we also had a wonderful time celebrating Jacob’s 7th birthday. It was a Ninjago themed party! How cool.
Sammy wore his seriously awesome dragon boots in the small creek at Richard Lake Park in Montreat, NC. He had fun throwing rocks and splashing around!
After his dragon boots were filled with water, he dried off and got changed into cleaner clothes. He decided for the first time to get brave and climb the little rock wall for the first time! How exciting that Sammy is getting braver and braver!
and now it was time for some sticky treats!
Thank you Alison and Chris for the AWESOME NINJAGO time!!!! We had a blast there! What a great park!
Finally, we had a delicious dinner with our Mommom and Poppop, and got ready for a hectic week ahead.
What a fun weekend we had. Good friends, lots of kids, great food, and awesome company! Looking forward to the next weekend. Maybe we will have a PJ day, where we don’t get out of our PJ’s and read and watch TV ALL DAY LONG! 🙂
